Solar Protect 5L

It is applied to a clean and dry panel after washing. It creates an invisible hydrophobic layer from which water and dirt drain more easily.

Consumption: approximately 8–12 m² per liter.  

Procedure

1. First wash the panel with M8 Solar Clean and let it dry completely. Do not apply to wet glass.
2. The panel must be cool and in the shade. Do not work in wind that carries dust.
3. Shake the container. Do not dilute.
4. Apply by spraying or with a soft cloth, in a thin and even layer.
5. Spread immediately with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth while the layer is still damp. Do not allow it to collect in droplets.
6. Leave for at least 24 hours without exposure to rain.

The effect is easy to check: after setting, pour a little water. On the treated glass, the water collects in drops and runs off.

How often

Once a year, or after each thorough wash with Solar Intense or Foam, as stronger products wear down the layer over time.

After use

Close the packaging immediately. An opened bottle loses its properties more quickly.

Before every wash

 

1. The panel must be cold. Wash early in the morning, late in the afternoon or on a cloudy day. Cold solution on hot glass can cause thermal shock.
2. Never wash in direct sunlight — the detergent dries before rinsing and leaves marks.
3. Check that all connections and junction boxes are closed and undamaged.
4. Do not use high-pressure cleaners, abrasives, wires or hard brushes.
5. Always use demineralized water for dilution and rinsing. Plain water leaves limescale.
6. Before first use, check the panel manufacturer's instructions and warranty conditions.

   

Occupational safety

 

• Protective gloves and eye protection.
• Work at height only with prescribed protective equipment.
• Do not mix with other agents.
• Keep out of reach of children, at 5–25 °C, protected from freezing.

   

Never do this.

 

• Do not monitor a panel that is hot or exposed to sunlight.

• Do not use a high-pressure washer — the pressure damages the seals and frame.

• Do not let the product dry on the glass.

• Do not use abrasives, wires or agents with a pH above 10 or below 4.

• Do not rinse with plain water if you want a streak-free result.
